“One’s action ought to come out of an achieved stillness: not to be mere rushing on.”
— D.H. Lawrence
How often do you make time to be still? What do you notice when you finally stop moving? And do you have a finger-painter who brightens your day?

Still is not my strong suit. I think I would qualify for ADHD. You have some lovely shots~especially the finger painting.

Holding still, that’s a good one, something I could use some work on. My finger painters live a couple hours away, but off to see them this weekend! Thanks for sharing your treasures.

Those buttons are fabulous! So close and such pretty light. Really a beautiful collection of photos!

Your first and last shots are my favorite. The first makes those buttons look so much bigger than they are! And the last just makes me smile.

I love the angle of the second shot and I would have to say the finger painting in my favorite. We do lots of finger painting around here

I rarely take the time to be still, though I know I should. And when I am still, I’m afraid I’m usually too tired to really look at and appreciate the things around me. You have asked a good question. As for the pictures, I love them, especially the simple stack of buttons.

I don’t do it nearly enough lately. How soon we forget how restorative it is.
