“You don’t take a photograph. You ask, quietly, to borrow it.” — Anonymous
Are you a borrower, like me? How do you capture the quiet moments, the ones that might otherwise go unnoticed? And don’t you want a pair of those pink boots?

I don’t take enough pictures of the quiet, unnoticed moments. I think I disrespect them, treat them like pauses between the “real” action. But as I think about them, those still disregarded moments are the story.

Oh I live each of these pictures. These quiet
Moments. They each speak to me in their own way. I love how the imagery–colors and scenery–affects each quiet moment differently.
And asking to borrow a photograph? Just lovely.

What a wonderful quote! I guess I’m not a good borrower…
And I adore the look on the man’s face on the bench.

Beautiful and so well said. I’m a borrower too – of moments and pieces of the tapestry of life.

Beautiful pictures! I never think to capture the quiet moments. I always try to take the pictures where someone is kicking and screaming about not wanting their picture taken!

I’m not very good with the quiet moments. I only remember the camera to commemorate the “memorable”, but the quiet ones are important too aren’t they? Especially when they’re younger, when quiet is never associated with them, perhaps it’s even more memorable to catch them being still…I really have to do that more. Capture the “serenity”

The pink boots, and the wheelhouse, too! Great quote.

Ah…I need to appreciate and capture more of these moments…I’m more likely to say, “say cheese.” But these “borrowed” moments are what reflect real life.
