“Never be afraid to sit awhile and think.” — Lorraine Hansberry

What historical sites (like Fort Sumter in 1, 2, and 4 above) give you pause? Are the clover blooming where you are? And why is it that a Batman shirt makes almost everything better?

  1. love the q entries.especially the first one

  2. sitting a while and thinking is brilliant idea I need to do more

  3. Beautiful photos! I love it when a place inspires me to take a moment to pause and reflect on life. That’s when I’m always reminded that even during the tough times there is light at the end of the tunnel and “this too shall pass.”

  4. Love your photos! And the caption:) true. I remember when batman made everything better too for my boys at that age. Enjoy. Soon it will be computer games:(

  5. These are great captures. I have nothing green outside yet. Winter is just not willing to go away. Maybe I should put on a Batman shirt and see if that makes me happier about the extended winter.

  6. I love the slivers of quiet in your photographs.

  7. I always love going to revolutionary war sites.

You have some great pics here, and I especially love the last one.

    =)

  8. Flowers!!! jealous!

  9. I love the quiet in your photographs. Have a wonderful weekend. 🙂

  10. A special place we visited not long ago was Betty Smith’s house (author of A Tree Grows in Brooklyn). I’d love to visit more homes of writers. Otherwise war sites I’ve been to are moving, as was Hiroshima which I was able to see when I first visited Japan.

I’m taking a photography class for moms this weekend – I naturally thought of your blog when I signed up!

And that top photo was incredible. What a neat, neat angle. I actually enjoy the way you compose all your photos. You have quite the artistic eye, my dear!
